How we charge, and why the fee is on the website
There are three numbers on our fees page. A one-off plan is £1,500. Ongoing advice is 0.75% a year of the money we advise on. The family office service is £6,000 a year, fixed and agreed in advance.
We publish them because the question comes up in the first ten minutes of every meeting and nobody enjoys the part where the adviser says it depends. It does not depend. If the work turns out to be larger than the fee covers, we say so before starting, not afterwards.
We take no commission from any provider, on any product. That is the whole reason the firm exists. It means we can recommend a provider we hold nothing with, or tell you to keep what you already have and pay us nothing further.
The first meeting is free and there is no obligation after it. Roughly one in five of those meetings ends with us saying that a plan would not be worth the fee yet. That is a fine outcome.
You can leave at any time. There is no exit charge, and your money is not held by us in the first place.
